Several years ago – we started this site with the hopes of it becoming the go-to site for information about survival, be it in the wilderness, during fierce storms, or even the potential “end of the world” scenario. After two years of operation, we found it to just be prey for spambots, and didn’t have the time to support it properly.

Nothing’s changed in the last few years – we’re still on the brink of disaster, and just the smallest of sparks could set us in a tailspin from which we could never recover as a nation. In the previous version of the site – I ran the codebase, but I wrote and developed only a very small portion of the content. In this new and improved version – I’m going to become one of the predominant writers for the site. Locknload will still contribute from time to time. For now, we’re just going to be starting off as a blog / information resource. Eventually – we’ll add in functionality for forums – but that will come later.

So, by now you’re wondering what’s the point of this site? We just crossed the 9th anniversary of the September 11th attacks – and the United States is still spread way to thin, policing the entire globe. We ignore the issues here at home while we concentrate about sticking our collective noses into everyone else’s business. Meanwhile, the pile of debt that we’ve been collecting continues to soar to new levels undreamed of by our forefathers.

We are in trouble, people. This site serves as a wake up call. Something is seriously wrong, and we need to stand up and get our views and opinions heard and known to those in office. We need to force the system back onto a path where we can survive as a nation long after our children and grandchildren have taken our places.

In the days, months and years to come – we’ll post commentary about the current state of the world, as well as information we feel you need to know on how to survive. However, this site isn’t just a “end of the world” resource. We’ll also go into discussions about survival tips if you find yourself stranded or lost. Questions we look to answer in upcoming posts include:

What do you do if you find yourself in the middle of a hurricane?

What’s the best ways to survive if a tornado is headed your way?

What supplies should you keep in your car for an emergency?

While the content of the site will be predominantly serious – there may be times were we go a little “off the cuff”, discussing zombie outbreaks, alien invasions and whatnot. Hey, we’ve got to have fun planning for the worst!

So, if you’re a returning visitor – welcome back! If you’re just visiting for the first time – I hope you find this blog to be an interesting and fun resource. Either way, thanks for visiting and I hope you get some use from this site.
